They Chilled Out, Took It Slow, but they still Rocked Out The Show

Normally I would say that anyone who releases a 3-D movie of their concert was just a money grubbing sell out but not this time. This time I would say that It Was The Right Thing To Do.

The right thing to do because let's face it - do these little 6 year olds really need to go to a loud crowded sell out concert? Yet they know it's out there and they really wanted to go. And for once, Disney has handed us an alternative that actually costs less. It just goes to show that in their hearts Disney really does "get" The Family.

The girls loved the concert/movie, it was worth the $15 price of admission, because it's the closest they've ever been to a real concert. They felt like they'd been there and today at school they have something to chatter about. We specifically lucked out in that the concert tour hit our city the same week the movie came out. Perfect timing.

I also want to say Kudos to Mily's parents/people. You stuck to your guns and protected your little girl no matter how critical the press was about the ticket situation. Let's face it folks we can all fuss about the brokers but they are just doing what they always do. In any other situation the brokers would have been neutralized because an adult rock band would have just added more tour dates until supply = demand and ticket prices would have remained stable.

It's Economics 101.

But this girl is 15. And her parents and managers said "no." And they were right. They agreed to a particular number of dates and they stuck to it. It's nice to see that someone is looking out for this girl. Here's hoping she keeps it together.
