Eat Your Heart Out Turtle, I got me some of the finest kicks around
Okay, so I’ve been sitting here chuckling at everyone’s posts for the The Parent Bloggers Network's latest Blog Blast with Harper Collins and lamenting the fact that Operation Pink Palace hit our closet this summer and as a result that and endless hours watching What Not To Wear, most of my former wardrobe was bagged up and either given away or thrown away. ‘Cause you know $250 in Coach money would be sweet!

But it did remind me of a funny thing that happened last
night. The Bald Guy came over with The
Handy Friend to put the finishing touches on the new floor in the bathroom.
Bald Guy and The Dr were a little chicken to lay down the tack strip and cut
the carpet to finish off the tile/carpet edge in the master bath. So they had
Handy Friend come help. The three of them are in there acting all manly and
whatnot when Bald Guy looks up and notices The Dr.’s closet and proceeds to
give him a ration of manly man shit about it. Cause evidently real mean don’t
fold sweat-shirts – or need neat little cubby holes for their shoes.
So when I went downstairs to take pictures for that not-so-funny-the-next-day story. I looked down in my closet and saw these! I did retain evidence of my questionable taste after all! Yeah!!! May I present the plaid Keds with Gold Lame, a timeless fashion Don't.
See how they sparkle and shine.
Can you believe I stood there in a store and said “How Cute!” because I am generally a sucker for anything plaid. Don’t you just dig the fact that I thought that regular shoe laces weren’t doing it and felt the need to use multi-colored sparkly Christmas present string stuff in the instead?
Notice what good condition they are in? I only wear them those truly plaid-tennis-shoe-worthy special occasions.

Oh... my... I love my Keds, but those are some lookers. :)
